New Music (for me): Raye Zaragoza - Highly recommended...

I rarely find new music that is a compelling listen to me.  This week on "Resident Alien" the incorporated some music that caught my attention.  Siri is a great tool for music discovery (if you don't want to wait for the end credits).
It was American Dream from Raye Zaragoza's "Fight for You" album.   It turns out that a few of her songs were used throughout the series.... enjoy.

SpaceX Destination Moon....

Watching SpaceX’s progress with their “starship” I can’t help but be transported back to my childhood watching George Pal’s “Destination Moon” on a rainy Saturday.

The story telling is a bit ham fisted in that 1950’s style, but It helped introduce movie audiences of the time to space flight. Interesting the exposition on how US industry had to take the lead on developing the capabilities and a shadowy “someone” trying to thwart their efforts. Also ingenuity a la Apollo 13 to get back home when they hit technical glitch on the moon.

And of course this movie can only be found on YouTube here
